I got out of my theory class today and looked at my homework...I HAVE OVER 120 CHORDS TO CONSTRUCT!!!!!!!! That is so many! I guess I am going to get fast at it...hopefully...maybe. My teacher said that it would get easier after we finished counterpoint! He lied to me! I have at least 3 hours of work ahead of me just for this class. And to top it all off it is due on Thursday! Maybe I am underestimating my abilities...I hope that I am.
Anyway last night I had to go to the studio to lay down some songs with Gary. I dream about the studio that this guy had. If I could I might honestly think about stealing it...but it was built into his house. He had a 24 track mixer, tons of professional studio mics, a sweet digital setup all around. I want what this guy had. Did I mention how much want it? Oh and there is this really sweet digital studio I want that I went to last night. There are many ways to phrase it but it generally boils down to "GIVE IT TO ME!" I have decided that I will have one by the time I am 30. But back to the recording. We got there at 6:30 laid down 11 songs and left about 10:15. Long night! But I had fun. Did I mention I WILL have a digital studio by the time I am 30?
Yesterday at school was another day to throw people off. I was wearing a long goth-esque trenchcoat, and a bandana. I looked very much like one of those stupid columbine kids. But you would think wearing something like that you would just keep a straight face, get where your going, and kill anyone that gets on your way. Not me! I was listening to Barenaked Ladies (again) and literally skipping around campus. I got the weirdest looks. It was great! Today is my sophisticated look. I have some nice gray jeans, a hip gray turtleneck sweater, a nice j-crew sports coat, and some little rectangular orange glasses to throw the look off ^_^ Or complete the look depending on how you look at it.
Enough about clothes. I am still trying to get ornithology by Charlie parker up to speed and polished. His phrasing is so hard to play on a bass! It does the weirdest stuff. You wouldn't even think that it would sound good but it sounds great!
Well I should get started on my 120 CHORD homework assignment! >_<
