This week has been completely insane! Lets see if I can successfully recap everything.
Weekend:
I was not supposed to play bass, but Tony couldn't so I had to wake up early on saturday for practice. Practice went really slow, nothing special happened. Than I came home and read The Lives of the Caesars. it was slow, dry, and as boring as every other old Greek/Romen book I have been forced to read this semester.
Woke up early on Sunday because I had to play bass. I would have had to wake up early anyway though because I was scheduled to work in the cafe. Went home and started writing my paper that was due in my english class. That went to UNM and practiced bass for a couple hours. Than started working on the chord progression I had to make up by wednesday. It was so hard! I had to make up a chord progression with a cadential 6/4 ending, it had to be 4 measures of 4/4, 3/4, or 2/4. And I had to be able to play it in up to 4 sharps or 4 flats, without writing it down! Anyway, back to sunday. I than tried to finish my reading in The Lives of the Caesars at which point I fell asleep. I later woke up around 9:00, had some ice cream and decided I would finish my report later.
monday:
Never mind you don't care about my boring routine. I will just skip to the good stuff.
On Wednesday Peter and I went to see John Mayer! But wait there is more! Marron5 is touring with John! So yesterday I got to see my 2 favorite bands! John Mayer was simply amazing. The highlight of the concert for me was when all the lights went off except for the spotlight on him. And he played Daughter. That is my favorite song he does. It was completely acoustic, just him and his guitar. But what was amazing was the view. You know how people generally hold up their lighters at concerts for slow songs? Well nobody has lighters anymore. No, everyone here was holding up their cell phones. So you just see the beautiful array of blue, green, red, and white lights (with the occasional flickering lighter) swaying in the crowd. I almost cried it was so beautiful. I feel like a girl saying that ^_^ but it's true. It was amazing.
I got home from the concert at about 2:00 and did my music theory homework and wrote another essay for history. And that brings us to today. So I'm all caught up now.
Ever wondered what a Cro-magnon skinning chant sounded like? Well, wonder no more! If you want to see bigger pictures click here. page 1 page 2
