So the time has come. I'm finally taking off. I feel completely unprepared and I don't even think it has hit me how insane this is going to be. I never though homelessness was so bad. And I guess I'm not going to be homeless per se, after all I am carrying everything I own with me. But for all practical purposes I'm homeless in Europe for the next 101 days.
The plan is to ride my bike for here (York, England) to Mallorca, Spain for school next semester. I'm going to sleep where ever I get tired and eat where ever I get hungry. What else do you need to live? I'm going to stop at a couple of communes along the way. Oh, and with any luck see some of the Tour de France. I'm going to try to update my blog once a week but I make no promises.
If you think of it any time between May 25th and September 3rd pray for me. Just a quick little one. Something like these:
- "God, give Mark some extra stamina"
- "Give Mark some extra food today, maybe a little wine to"
- "Show mark to turn right or left, literally"
- or best of all "Give Mark chances to love people the way You do"
peace 'n love to all
