I woke up this morning wondering if there is anything worth fighting for. I could make a whole list of what the correct answers would be if I were a good person. But seeing that I'm not I won't make that list. In all honesty I couldn't think of a single thing worth fighting for. I'll list a few and show why I couldn't see fighting for them as being moral.

  • Freedom. I don't see anything in the Bible that tells me to fight for freedom. I read that I'm going to be persecuted, tortured, even murdered. And I also see that I am to submit to the government placed over me by God. If that government takes my freedom I'm to submit. Now what of another country trying to take my countries freedom? I see that I am to give to those who ask and bless those who cures me. How can that be interpreted as a license to fight for freedom?

  • Peace. How much hypocrisy does it take for someone to fight for peace? I once heard someone say, "Fighting for peace is like f-ing for virginity" and I thought that pretty much summed it up.

  • Self defense. I read about a Jesus that said do not resist an evil person. Whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak also. So it's alright to fight if it's self defense? Nope, not in the Book I read.

There's loads more but I'm tired of listing them now. To sum it up there's nothing worth fighting for.

On another note, there were more Christians murdered in Sudan today than Muslims in all of the middle east today. Why doesn't our media talk about this? Three reasons. For one, they're black. Secondly, they're Christian. Thirdly, and most importantly, they don't have any oil. Muslims aren't black Christians who don't have oil so it's much worse if someone kills one of them. I just wish people would quit killing each other altogether. Life would be so much easier.
