I’ve finally found a coffee shop. Not exactly what I was looking for, but as close as I’ve seen in Yantai. Actually is located in the middle of the jewelry section in a shopping mall (which feels more like a department store).

The drinks aren’t too bad, though they are a bit expensive. It’s a nice environment for writing, if you can ignore all the people buying jewelry right outside. And it’s going to become one of regular spots. I’ll take my computer. I’ll write, I’ll study, and I’ll love it.

There is one thing I noticed that you would never see in the states. The walls have a lot of nice framed photos. The photos, however, have watermarks from the website they stole them from that say copyright and fotosearch.com. Once I noticed that they whole place looked a bit tackier.

Totally off topic, if you haven’t looked at iron on iron you should go take a look at the post titled October 11, 2006 that I wrote up. It was a good reminder for me of why and how I’m here.
