Snow

I knew it would happen. Some day it had to snow. Unfortunately that day was today. Today actually happened to be quite a good day for it to snow as I didn't have any morning classes. I woke up around 9:00 and looked out the window to a good 6 inches of snow with more on the way down.

I promised myself I had to go to the beach after the first significant snow. So I went.

Check out that schnoz! I could be an Eskimo!

I love how snow looks on the beach. I had never seen it in person until today. It was freezing!

Recognize that boat?

I stopped by the coffee shop I found recently for a nice Mocha. Interestingly enough there is a sign on the inside that says, "Do not forget to entertain strangers." Now, where have I heard that...

Then I took a path behind SPR Coffee that cuts through what I think is a grave yard, though I didn't think that until today. It's a really lovely path. One night I walked down it when the power in the area was out. It's really spooky when there's no light and you can hear the wind howling through the skeleton like trees. Good fun.
There is a path that cuts off the walkway above. During the day it looks quite dismal, but covered in snow it's beautiful. So I walked down it.
Only to find loads of these. I think they're graves, but I could be wrong. Not sure what else they could be though. It's also the only reason I can think of that would explain why there isn't an apartment building sat here.

Alright, Tamiko pointed out that I put loads of random pictures on here but nothing that shows anything substantial. So here are some boring picture that show the area where I live.

This street is where a small night market gets set up. Nothing special really.
Here is the main street I walk down, or take a taxi down this time of year, to work.
This is De Sheng. A big, dirty, shopping center where you can get all kinds of random stuff you don't need. Well some of it's useful.
This is the street my apartment is on. My apartment is dead ahead.
And here's 小流氓 (Xiao Liumang), my cat. Spending her whole life in a 8 inch high cage hasn't done much for her jumping ability. I don't think she knows she can jump. She climbs up inot my bed and didn't attempt the stairs until living here for a good month. In any case, she knows I keep the food on a shelf high up there but can only grab the cupboard handle and try to climb up. She can't get enough traction though. It's really just a cat doing pull ups.

Hours of entertainment.

I also lost my phone today.

c'est la vie

You look sooo cold in the picture. I've never seen you in such a huge jacket...though it is never needed here in Okinawa. take care friend, try not to catch a cold.

I just re-saw this picture, and noticed how the alcoholic santa got a more favorable reaction from the kids as did the alcoholic pirate. The little girl in the blue flips, haha!
