Today we're going to look at an extremely simple sea food dish. It's called La Chao Hua Ga. I'm not sure of the meaning, as I have never seen the bloody characters. I have a love-hate relationship with this language.

Ingredients:

  • About a kilo of little clams.

  • 4 or 5 green peppers.

  • Some little red peppers.

  • Salt.

  • Oil.
Serves two or three people.

First, wash the clams throughly. Don't want anyone getting sick now, do we? Then boil them until they're nice and dead. You'll know they're dead when they open up.

Chop the green peppers.

Heat the oil in a wok with red peppers.

Sauté the green peppers.

Strain the clams. Add them to the wok. Add salt. Stir-fry for a bit and enjoy!

It's so stinking simple that you wouldn't think it tastes good. But I assure you, it's absolutely delicious. It goes really well with Chinese barbecue. Chinese barbecue is is little strips of pork, mutton, beef, etc. on sticks. So you could BBQ some kabobs to go along with it. You'll want to make something to go with it, it's not quite satisfying enough by itself if you're hungry.

Oh, and if you have left overs take the meat out of the shells and make an omelet the next day. It's almost better than this dish.
