I didn't expect this Christmas to be anything special. It often isn't anything special in China.

However, it turned out to be wonderful.

(Aside from having to work.)

After work I opened some gifts from home and friends. A couple great books from home that will keep me entertained and thinking for awhile. A great scarf from Zou Nan, too.

We had planned on going to a nice hotel for a nice meal with some friends. But then some other friends invited us to Jackie's (A really good western restaurant) for a big Christmas dinner.

I'm talking 17 people, loads of delicious nachos, salad, pounds of mashed potatoes, two turkeys, two sea salt baked bass, and multiple cakes.

We probably have a kilo of leftover turkey.

Turkey sandwiches for dinner tonight.

It was a wonderful Christmas and I regret forgetting my camera.

Great party! Too bad you left your camera..^^

Christmas eve, i was still in the hospital on duty. After midnight me and my colleagues spent the rest of our time on a vigil at co-staff's house. He lost his dad last Dec.16. It's his father's birthday at the same time. How do you greet a dead person happy birthday and console the family at the same time? so weird.

I love your site Marky! Hahaha..
    Happy new year!
