Most Japanese people I meet call me Jack Sparrow within 10 minutes. They call me that or tell me they first thought I was a girl. Or both.
I've also been called a dirty hippie by a couple of Americans.
But by far the most amazing description of me to date is "a marine with long hair that hates war."
