I have to cook on an electric stove, a pretty sketchy one at that. I remember listening to Paul complain about having to use an electric stove. Although I must admit I never put much stock into his rants on electric stoves. Now I do. One of the nice things I miss about home is the gas stove. I didn't even do much cooking on it, but It was so much nicer than this.
First of all, I don't know what heating pad is turned on. Sounds stupid I know, but I'm used to being able to see where the heat is. For instance when I was cooking dinner just now I had one pad turned on while my pasta was on the other pad. I hate it.
Secondly, with gas stoves you have instant heat. You have to wait for electric stoves to heat up and cool down. I hate that.
Thirdly, it sucks when you set a fork down on a hot pad because you don't know it's hot. Try picking that fork up.
