I don't know. I have been here a week and it hasn't even thought about raining. I mean, it's been sunny most of the week. But this morning it rained a tiny bit. Nothing worth noting really. I didn't even use my rain jacket going to church and I stayed dry the whole way. Good times. And people say the weather is only going to get better. Love it.

Yesterday I walked around town with Tom. He's from York. He came out of a pretty gnarly life, I mean he knows all the stoners and stuff because they were his old friends. He used to manage bands and set up tours around England for 'em. Cool guy. In any case, he was showing me all the cool hippie spots around town. We went to some castle ruins and hung out with all his old stoner friends. It was fun. But a little sad. Some of them were around 14 using bongs and whatnot. They were talking about doing crack and stuff. Snorting lines. One kid was telling us about his crack christmas because his mom didn't want him home with her. Sucks. But all in all they were good kids.

I realized that the townies (thugs, gangsters, tough guys, whatever) here are totally a nonevent for me. They dress in athletic clothes all the time and everyone is afraid of them. I just can't bring myself to think of them as a threat. Honestly, when was the last time that you looked at a guy decked out an Adidas and thought of him as a threat? So I'm always smiling at them. I think it may get me in trouble sometime, but they just look like dorks. Tom told me to just look down when we walk by them, but they are just too silly to ignore! I'll see if I can snap a picture sometime.

Also, when we were out we stopped by a sewing place. You know, needles and thread and yarn and such. The coolest thing about it was that it was called "Duttons for Buttons: zips & harberdashery" The second coolest thing about it is that it's been in business for over a hundred years, in the same shop! Amazing.
