Tottoos

Alright. So most of the stuff I learn out here I'm not compelled to put on my blog because it would reveal too much of myself. But everyone knows I want a tattoo, and those who didn't know do now. And before you try to convince me otherwise check this out. The only reason I didn't want to get a tat was because of 1 Cor. 3:16-17. Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are. But in my 1 Corinthians class we hit this verse the other day. And the teacher pointed something rad out. The greek word used for temple is ναος (naos) which does NOT speak of the structure or building itself. ναος refers to the holy of holies. The inner most sanctuary where the Lord dwells. In other words ναος is talking about how our souls, not bodies, are temples of the Lord. And then he talked about how all the people that misuse this verse against piercings and tats. And you could tell that he didn't even want to tell us what this verse really meant because he is against tats and whatnot himself. Oh man that made me so happy.
